Appointments for blood tests can be made up to 12 weeks in advance. These are available by either telephoning the practice or in person, and only at the GP request. Some blood tests need counselling from a GP prior to testing that cannot just be authorised by the Nurse or Phlebotomist. If your request has not been authorised by the GP you will unfortunately be turned away at your appointment and asked to speak to the GP first.
Your Consultant at Hospital may have asked you to get some tests from your GP Practice following a consultation with them. You can book as above so long as you have the request/blood form, please bring it with you to the appointment. This is really important so that we know what investigations are needed and we don't in anyway delay any review/appointment.
