Appointments

Morning Appointments

Ring after 8:00 am any morning (Mon-Fri) to request an appointment time for that same morning. We would recommend ringing as early as possible after 08:00am if you wish to see a particular GP of your choice. The Receptionist or Care Navigator will take details of your call and you can request a face to face consultation or a telephone call back. The Care Navigator may be able to offer advice if your request is unlikely to be appropriate based on their understanding of what you need ie children under 5 would usually need a face to face appointment. All details given are done so at the GP's request and in the strictest of confidence.

Afternoon Appointments

Are pre-bookable up to 6 weeks in advance, but as our service finds it's new normal following the pandemic these pre-booked appointments are currently restricted by times/days of the week. If you have something you wish to routinely discuss or are looking to book a follow-up appointment with a particular GP, then this facility is useful for you.

Emergency afternoon appointments are available daily by phoning after 14:00 pm, but these are for clinical emergencies only.

Where possible we would always try to see acute presentations within 24hours, and every effort will be made to see children under 16 on the same day.

Acutely unwell Children under 5 will be asked to present face to face rather than by telephone triage in most cases, this is at the GP's request.

Where the Practice is at capacity the GP will clinically triage any calls deemed urgent by the caller and the GP will decide whether the patient needs to be seen in that session, referred to an alternate service or is able to wait for the next available routine appointment. We appreciate all health concerns are urgent to the individual but the Clinician might not always agree.

The Practice does not consider sick notes, a repeat medication issue or your convenience as a medical emergency. Please avoid booking under these circumstances as refusal often offends and you will be refused at Consultation.
